Prices of diamonds, onyx, iron, and granite skyrocket. Gogogo!
Maybe they will give me a reason to finish GWAMM.

so finish it up with whatever-----

This.
They will most likely give you these points just for filling each monument up. So if you've filled them up any way, you will most likely get those points. I doubt miniatures will have special value.
GWAMM will also likely have some kind of extra value, as that title in particular changes the visual appearance of the HoM statue.

Actually rank 5 of the KOABD title with all the monuments filled gives you the max visual appearance so GWAMM is not needed

Not gonna happen. My take is the best you will get is some eyecandy. Anet are not going to make GW1 players imba -v- new purchasers of GW2.

the only one that truly displays effort and character progress is honor.
any fool can slap down 20 white minis and a load of destroyer weps for aesthetic vanity.
its an rpg heading into a live world dragging its own history, HoM should reflect thus so.
e.g:heritage reward

I would tend to agree that at most it's going to be special skins, or armor that is not attainable by new gw2 players. Eyecandy without substantive gameplay advantage. They will be things that will clearly mark you as having "history".
I also don't believe they should make them attainable by new GW2 players.... period. This is OUR "bonus" for years of dedication and hard work, and I will be seriously disappointed if people who have never played a minute of Guild Wars will have the chance to "buy" these things... whatever they turn out to be.

Anet have time and time again said/showed how much they appreciate their fans. I think they'll give us some really nice surprises for when we first load up GW2.

If anyone did buy Guild Wars 1 for the hall of monument items in Guild Wars 2. It is not like the hall is filled for free, they would still have to work just as hard as old players to get the hall filled, so why not have it attainable for new players Wynthyst? Also what time frame classifies a new player?
I like the points idea, fill in so much, lets you buy such and such. I look forward to reading how it all works and what we can get.

He means that he doesnt want players in GW2 to be able to attain these items who have never played GW1.
New players to GW1 now ofc everyone wants people to get as many bonus items as they can.
I do agree with Wyn, if people in GW2 can get these items without ever playing GW1, I would be very pieved off to say the least.

glowing aura..... with your GWAMM pts.... because well you are the decendant of a GOD!
And I would think that the mini shrine will give: (speculation)
1pt for white first year
2pt for purple first year
3pts for gold first year
4 pts for green
2pts for white 2nd year.....and so on and on.... but again... maybe just 1 pt for white and up for better color of minis... but who knows... NOT ME....
hope we will find out soon

So, people who were lucky or wealthy in GW1 get to show off more than people who were not? This is how you expect ANet to reward those who were unlucky and not rich -- by continuing to make them aware of their "inferiority" when they transition to GW2?
Personally, I don't think GW1 e-peen should transfer to GW2. Those who had status in GW1 got the benefit from it GW1. Let it stay there. Reward all GW1 customers by giving them equal chance at any bit of HoM bling in GW2, and let them all start out on the same e-peen footing from there. It's enough that those who have more items in their HoM will have more bits of bling, and there is no reason to carry this to extremes with extra rewards for those who have things that nobody else can get.

With the different groupings available for minipet display maybe we will get points for having a full birthday set. Or just X points for having 20 total, 30 total, 40 total, etc. I am thinking base points for having a "full" display (whatever the max for display is) and then extra for having all available (this could work for armor, hero, weapons, but since there are new birthday minis I would think those would go by set or by number tiers).
Can we please add the craftable Deldrimor weapons and the Oppressor weapons to HoM? Pretty please? They would look so nice there.
Yes the people who were lucky or wealthy get to show off. Inferiority? Sounds like someone is just jealous. I have played for for over 5 years and have a decent stack of pretties. As much as some others? No. More than some others? Yes. I put my time/ effort in. My luck with getting minipets on my own is rather dismal (many repeats, but others have the same and we can trade. Hello Nicholas, its been over 1500 gifts can I please have a mini now? Wintersdays full of bear runs, nada. Taking 9th char through WiK right now, luckily my husband got the gift ones.) I have bought a handful of the birthday minis to complete my collections - all paid for by playing the game and picking up every little drop. That is my effort put in and anyone else could have done the same. And I accept that I will never have an Island Guardian or even a Dhuum. Oh well. If you didn't want to spend the time to obtain a certain mini/title/whatever you shouldn't complain that the people who did get a reward for it. I can't see them giving extra points for the really really rare ones anyhow because of how few there were available. Unless that ties into the tier thing. And then it goes back to the "Oh well" for those who didnt get it. Maybe there will be a set number of things to trade points in for and the extra points wont even matter.

Gonna wait for official word on what's really going to happen before I spend anymore gold on l33t weapons or armor just to display them in the HoM.
